  • RUNSTATS utility terminates with abend0c4 in DSNUGSRP +028C
(at level UI44663) during sort.
The abend occurs while trying to address a USW array entry for a
task that is not existing.

* are allocated by either DFSORT or JCL.                       *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Apply corrective PTF when available                          *
****************************************************************
RUNSTATS processing could access memory outside an allocated
control block if no sort work data sets were allocated by DB2
during RUNSTATS FREQVAL processing resulting in ABENDS0C4
in DSNUGSRP +X'028C'.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Code has been changed to prevent accessing memory outside of the
allocated control block.
