During the execution of an implicitly connected statement, an
    ABEND04E-00D35011 LOC=DSNLZLLM.DSNLZHC0:0064 can occur when
the downstream server was recently migrated to DB2 11 for z/OS
New-Function Mode(NFM). The problem occurred due to inconsistent
checking of DB2 level while attempting to send the environment
information(including global variables to the downstream server.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 has been changed to properly process SET statements that
    include global variables.
