PI77838: USING FILE MANAGER DYNAMIC TEMPLATE USER IS RECEIVING S0C4 ABENDS.

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is using File Manager dynamic template and is receiving
  S0C4 abend when he attempts to save the template.
  

Local fix

• As a work around the user should not issue multiple prefix
  commands on the Record Type Selection panel if they
  are going to issue the 'MD' command to make one of the
  01 levels a dynamic template.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. Entering multiple line commands on   *
  *                      the Record Type Selection panel may     *
  *                      result in an ABENDS0C4 if one of the    *
  *                      commands is an E and the user changes   *
  *                      the template to a dynamic template      *
  *                      using the MD command.                   *
  *                      2. The Scrambling range option          *
  *                      MIN value is corrupted when entering    *
  *                      high numbers (> 6 digits) and may lead  *
  *                      to an ABENDS0C4.                        *
  *                      3. The resultant scrambled values when  *
  *                      using a large range are not normally    *
  *                      distributed for the specified range.    *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

Problem conclusion

• File Manager has been modified to correct the problem.
