Error description

  • ClearQuest Full Text Search Update Indexing is not working. FTS
    Update Mode Record Extractor fails as it encounters with large
    oplogs that cause silent failures.
    
    It is observed that it happens for just doing 1 oplog per pass
    and it hits that problematic oplog which is bigger in size.
    
    Testing with GetOplog in a test scenario with a known
    problematic oplog causes:
    
    CRMCU0101E OutOfMemory
    (\bugbert.src\cqobjectmodel\cqsession.cpp, Unknown Type, 0
    bytes) at \bugbert.src\cqobjectmodel\cqsession.cpp:3327.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available in ClearQuest 9.0.0.5 and 9.0.1.1
    The Full Text Search index operation was improved to reduce the
    amount of memory needed to process record changes.
