Error description

• Runtime performance of the program is slower compared to an
  equivalent program compiled with the Enterprise COBOL V4.2 or
  earlier compiler.

  With large programs and programs compiled without optimization,
  the compiler did not have the necessary infrastructure to fully
  optimize table initialization operations.
  

Problem conclusion

• The compiler was updated to include support for optimizing
  INITIALIZE statements on tables at all OPT levels and even on
  large programs as long as the tables do not include any
  elementary items that are excluded from the initialization
  (e.g., filler, pointer, and index data items, which are
  excluded by default, and data items excluded due to the use of
  INITIALIZE phrases such as REPLACING).
