Problem summary

  • The Year 2038 problem is an issue for time values which are
stored or calculated as a signed 32-bit integer. As such,
implementations can not encode times after 03:14:07 UTC on 19
January 2038. Beginning with z/OS V2R3, Language Environment
adds support for 31-bit UNIX clock beyond 19 January 2038.

Problem conclusion

  • In preparation for z/OS V2R3, 32-bit time dependencies in
Rational Asset Analyzer and Rational Asset Analyzer for System
z have been identified, removed and/or converted to
    2038-compliant time values.
