Error description

• On rare occasions a shipping_server (sender) may hang, and never
  complete.
  It does this after sending its data, but before logging success
  to the local shipping_server_log.
        The completion of the data transfer is logged at the
  receiving site.
  
  The hung process could have been initiated by any of
      shipping_server -poll
      mkorder -fship
      syncreplica -export -fship
      mkreplica -export -fship
  
  When this occurs as part of a scheduled job, it can hang the
  scheduled job and prevent repeat jobs from being submitted.
  

Local fix

• The system administrator (root) needs to kill the hung
  shipping_server process.
  
  To check for hung process do
  >    ps -eo pid,etime,time,args | grep shipping_server
    PID     ELAPSED            TIME COMMAND
  15704  dd-hh:mm:ss       00:00 shipping_server  sh_o_...
  
  An elapsed time of hours or days would indicate it is hung
