APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using a RAA for System z configuration with WAS installed
on Windows or AIX, the Database -> Logs option only shows logs
that are on Windows or AIX, but not the logs from the z/OS
system. Therefore none of the postprocessing logs are easily
available from the RAA for System z browser user interface.

Local fix

  • access z/OS-based RAA for System z logs directly.

Problem summary

  • When Rational Asset Analyzer for System z is configured with
the application server running on Windows or AIX, the Database
-> Logs action doesn't list logs from z/OS. Instead the logs
had to be viewed from z/OS .

Problem conclusion

  • The Database -> Logs action was enhanced to show the logs from
both systems. A choice on the Logs page lets the user
indicate whether the logs to be listed come from the
Windows/AIX system or the z/OS system.
