Error description

  • During the process to add pages to the existing pipe, DB2
detected one segment was already in the pipe, causing
DSNISGSP:5001 abend.  DB2 should skip this segment instead of
issuing the sanity abend.

For Member Cluster non-APPEND table space, Insert Algorithm 2
tried to scan available pages for continuous insert, found one
segment that was not available and issued the sanity abend code
DSNISGSP:5001.  This caused interruption to the insert process.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • DB2 code has been modified to avoid DSNISGSP:5001 abend.
