Error description

  • When attempting to export a DB2 object using the FM plug-in DB2
Export Wizard, receive the following message when the data set
specified for the Export destination data set does not exist:

 FMNBA301 Data set hlq.xxx.yyy not found

Currently there is a limitation that the destination data set
must exist, request is to remove this limitation.

Local fix

  • preallocate the Export destination data set

When the export data set does not exist on the host, no attempt
is made to allocate it, resulting in the observed
'Data set does not exist' message.

Problem conclusion

  • File Manager DB2 component has been updated. When the data set
name specified in the export wizard does not exist, an attempt
will be made to allocate it.
