APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In IBM Developer for z Systems (IDz) v14.0.0.3, editing a PL/I
  include file while the outline view is in focus or hidden, may
  hang IDz.
  
  The same problem may be observed in RDz v9.5.1.3, and
  v9.5.1.4, as well as IDz v14.0.0.1 and v14.0.0.2.
  

Local fix

• De-select any filters in the Outline view or close the Outline
  view
  

Problem summary

• Editing a PL/I include file while outline view is activated and
  is hiding all items in the include file may hang IDz.
  

Problem conclusion

• Modified Outline view code to make sure hidden outline view
  items do not cause race condition.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
