Error description

  • Error checking out in a ClearQuest enabled UCM project when you
    try to use a ClearQuest activity with 2 securitycontext links
    and you are are a member of only 1 of the groups:
    
    Internal Error: XML parse error:Failed to find expected child
    element "Atom_ns:content" The server returned an XML response
    that the client does not understand. Unable to retrieve the
    Record "<record id>", from ClearQuest.
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    - setup a CQ database based on the UCM Schema
    - add 2 securitycontext references to a UCM enabled Record e.g.
    BaseCMActivity
    - Create 2 securitycontext Records configured with 2 groups.
    - Create a BaseCMActivity and add the 2 securitycontext records.
    - configure your UCM Project to use this ClearQuest database.
    If the test user is a member of both groups the checkout
    succeeds, if he is a member of only 1 group it fails.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available in ClearQuest 9.0.0.5 and 9.0.1.1.
    The web-based UCM/CQ integration can now work on ClearQuest
    records that contain security contexts where the user is not a
    member of one or more of those contexts.
