Error description

• When attempting to work with a COBOL module stored in the
  Rational Team Concert (RTC) repository with Rational Developer
  for System z (RDz) 9.5.1/RTC 5.0.2 or IBM Developer for System z
  (IDz) 14/RTC 6.0.1, the context menu fails to appear and instead
  a java.lang.NullPointerException is produced.
  
  Recreation Steps:
  
   1) Connect to an RTC repository
  
   2) Select "Show > Repository files" on a RTC component
  containing COBOL modules
  
   3) in the Repository Files view, double-click on a COBOL module
  
   4) Once the module opens in the COBOL editor, right-click in
  the editor to display the context menu.
  
  The context menu is not displayed, and a
  java.lang.nullPointerException appears.

Local fix

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED: Rational Developer for System z (RDz) and
  Rational Team Concert (RTC) working with resources from the
  Repository Files view.
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:  After using the Show > Repository Files
  action in RTC, the user opens a resource from the Repository
  Files view using the editor in RDz.  When the user then attempts
  to right click within the editor and use the menu, no options
  are displayed.

Problem conclusion

  Problem Resolution: Since the resource is being displayed in the
  editor directly from the repository and not from the local or
  remote file system a change was required to properly display the
  context menu.  Note that the resulting menu options are
  significantly reduced in this context as compared to working
  with files on a file system.
