  *                 with FULL NO or CHANGELIMIT options          *
  *                 against table spaces.                        *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: COPY utility with CHANGELIMIT or FULL   *
  *                      NO options and hardcoded DD cards       *
  *                      against a table space failed with       *
  *                      ABEND0C9 at DSNUBASP OFFSET00236 while  *
  *                      message DSNU404I was issued if the      *
  *                      output data set was defined by DD card. *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available.         *
  ****************************************************************
  User ran an incremental COPY utility job (COPY FULL NO) on a
  table space and defined the output data set with a DD card.
  OPTIONS EVENT(ITEMERROR,SKIP) was specified.
  The COPY utility issued an error MSGDSNU404I - 'LOCAL SITE AND
  RECOVERY SITE INCREMENTAL IMAGE COPY ARE NOT SYNCHRONIZED FOR
  TABLESPACE tsname'. Although the object was marked skipped,
  COPY did not terminate with RC8 and instead continued to
  process the object after the DSNU404I error, resulting in the
  ABENDS0C9 at DSNUBASP + X'00236'.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been changed in COPY utility against a table space
  to skip an error object after an empty output data set is
  allocated.
  This change does not affect COPY jobs which use TEMPLATEs for
  image copy output data sets.
