  *                         take much longer than expected to    *

  01.The performance problem is a result of a couple issues on
     the host side. Prior to v2r1, the ISPF client gateway had
     issues handling concurrent tso commands due to a conflict in
     files being used to support the underlying function. Note
     that the ISPF gateway limitations were addressed in v2r1. At
     the time, RDz addressed this by artificially imposing a 1
     second minimum between subsequent tso commands. In addition
     to that, the host code that reads and writes I/O between the
     server and the ISPF gateway was not very efficient.
  

Problem conclusion

• 01.To resolve this, the host has now been changed to more
     efficiently read/write I/O and to not impose the 1 second
     delay on commands if the host level is v2r1 or later.
