Error description

• When using the LIKE (LK) predicate on the FM/DB2 'Row Selection
  Criteria' panel, only rows which match the case of the specified
  value are returned.

  The template editor, row selection criteria panel allows a
  value and operator to be specified for a column, but not
  a column function.
  eg COLNAME LIKE '%Smith%'.
  To identify all case variations a column function is also
  required,
  eg UPPER(COLNAME) LIKE '%SMITH%'.
  

Problem conclusion

• File Manager DB2 component has been updated to correct the
  problem.
  This APAR includes an enhancement to the File Manager DB2
  component template editor, row selection criteria panel.  In
  addition to adding two new operators (LKL and LKU), it is now
  possible to enter a column function or expression in place of
  a column name.
  This APAR includes an enhancement to the File Manager
  editor, 7 new primary commands are added:
  HOLD and FREE: to hold or unhold a column.
  HIDE and SHOW: to remove or display the data for a column.
  ORDER: to set a display order for one or more columns.
  LHEX: to display data for one or more character columns in long
  hexadecimal format.
  WIDTH: to set a display width for a column.
  The effect of all of these new commands could previously be
  achieved by using the template editor, the new commands remove
  the need to access the template editor.
