  Steps to Reproduce
  
  1. A developer should check out this object.
  
  
  Expected Results:
  
  Check out succeeds but a warning message about the inactive type
  should be propagated to the client logs.
  
  
  Actual Results:
  
  Check out succeeds but no warning message is delivered to the
  client.
  
  
  Work Around
  
  Using the CLI instead, repeat steps - a warning message is
  propagated to the client logs.
