*                      functions when PI53640 / UI35912        *
*                      UI35913 is APPLIED.                     *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

 ABEND04E RC00C90101 occurs when the residual flag is used from
 a null value. A residual null flag will falsely indicate to
 DB2 that the document is null, causing truncation and
 disconnecting the XML document.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 is modified to reset the flag that indicates null values
in order to avoid using a residual null value.
