Error description

  • Nodes in the tree view of a web published model are not in
    alphabetical order

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create three classes in a UML model: C_class, B_class and
    A_class (in this order)
    Note that the classes are sorted in alphabetical order in
    Project Exporer.
    2. Publish the model to Web.. (Modeling menu -> Publish -> Web)
    3. In the published model, expand the tree view to the left.
    => The order of the classes are by the time of creation, not in
    alphabetical order like in Project Explorer.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * Project Explorer view in Modeling perspective shows all the *
    * Model elements in sorted order whereas the same information *
    * from the Left navigation frame of the published content (Web *
    * publish of Model packages) it is not showing sorted order. *
    * Due to which customers with large model elements in their *
    * packages finding it difficult to finding the elements they *
    * look for.                                                    *

Problem conclusion

  • "Project Explorer view in Modeling perspective shows all the
    Model elements in sorted order whereas the same information from
    the Left navigation frame of the published content (Web publish
    of Model packages) it is not showing sorted order. Due to which
    customers with large model elements in their packages finding it
    difficult to finding the elements they look for.

    Now, left navigator frame of the webpublished content will show
    all the children (recursive through sub packages as well) in
    sorted order so that usability is improved. "
