Error description

• MQ ABEND0C4 in CSQWVZSA due to an ABEND653 in SMF
  because of lack of storage in the CHIN address space.  During
  the processing of the abend, CSQWZSAF assumes that R9 contains
  the address of the WWAB control block, but that is not the
  case, hence the 0C4 occurs.

  If a system abend occurs (e.g. due to a storage shortage) in
  module CSQWVZSA while capturing SMF data, the recovery routine
  may not correctly establish its base registers before performing
  recovery processing. This may result in an S0C4 abend occurring
  and masking the true cause of the underlying abend.
  

Problem conclusion

• Processing has been amended to ensure that recovery processing
  establishes its base registers correctly and the underlying
  abend is correctly reported.
