Error description

• When using the IBM Rational ClearCase Remote Client command line
  interface -- rcleartool -- attempts to use rcleartool mkattr to
  create or update a string attribute will fail with
  'invalid´string "{passed string}"'.
  
  String attributes can be created or updated using the ClearTeam
  Explorer interface, and they can be created/updated from within
  an interactive rcleartool session.
  
  WORKAROUND:
  - Use a rcleartool interactive shell to make the changes
  or
  - Use ClearTeam explorer to modify the string attribute
  or
  - quote the string as follows:  rcleartool mkattr <ATTR>
  "'\"\"<STRING>\"\"'" <OBJECT>
