  • A S0C4 exception is caused by R2 containing an invalid address
    (zeroes). The underlying problem pertains to IS NUMERIC tests.

    The instruction used to implement IS NUMERIC tests changes the
    value of GPR2. In certain rare cases, the code to save and
    restore the previous value of GPR2 was not being generated
    correctly.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was modified to generate the correct code to save
    and restore the previous value of GPR2.
