  When the user executed RUNSTATS UPDATE NONE HISTORY ALL on a
  partitioned table space, no cardinalities or frequency
  aggregate statistics were reported in MSGDSNU616I and stored in
  the SYSIBM.SYSCOLDIST_HIST catalog table.
  
  As RUNSTATS UPDATE NONE keywords was specified, no entries were
  stored in SYSIBM.SYSCOLDISTSTATS catalog table
  by the RUNSTATS utility. This resulted in aggregation processing
  failure to rollup the statistics and store the statistics in
  the SYSCOLDIST_HIST catalog table.
  
  For index on expression objects, no cardinality and frequency
  statistics were reported  by DSNU1353I   for  SYSKEYTGTDIST
  catalog table
  when UPDATE NONE HISTORY ALL keywords were specified. This
  resulted in aggregation processing failure to rollup the
  statistics and store the statistics in
  the SYSKEYTGTDIST_HIST catalog table.
  

Problem conclusion

• The design and code was changed to aggregate the statistics from
  the available in-memory blocks rather than from the
  SYSCOLDISTSTATS catalog table and store the statistics in the
  SYSCOLDIST_HIST catalog table regardless of UPDATE option
  specified.
  
  Code was also changed such that for index on expression objects,
  cardinality and frequency statistics  will be reported  by
  DSNU1353I
  for  SYSKEYTGTDIST catalog table when UPDATE NONE HISTORY ALL
  keywords are specified.     The collected statistics will be
  stored in
  SYSKEYTGTDIST_HIST catalog table.
