Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: MSGDSNU311I and RC4 for a LOAD utility  *
*                      with delimited input and a CONSTANT     *
*                      specified for a column in the field     *
*                      specification list.                     *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *

A LOAD DATA FORMAT DELIMITED with a field specification of
CONSTANT(10) for an existing column in the table issued
DSNU311I - RECORD (1) WILL BE DISCARDED DUE TO INVALID
'column_name' COLUMN followed by a DSNU311I for each subsequent
column with the LOAD ending RC4.

Due to delimited input, the CONSTANT field was treated as a
varchar data type, instead of the data type of the field,
causing the field to be unresolved.

Problem conclusion

  • LOAD FORMAT DELIMITED code has been modified to use the defined
data type of the CONSTANT field.
