Problem summary

*                 users of DSN1SMFP utility.                   *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABENDS0C4 when running DSN1SMFP to      *
*                      format DB2 audit trace.                 *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
DSN1SMFP can ABEND0C4 RC11 when processing IFCID145 trace data
which contains very long SQL statement text.  Long SQL text
makes IFCID145 trace to break into multiple trace records.
DSN1SMFP may calculate the number of trace records incorrectly
in some cases and thus abend.  The abend does not always happen.
When it happens, the abend can occur in different offsets in the
code depending on the type of trace record following the
IFCID145 trace.

Problem conclusion

  • DSN1SMFP utility has been modified to correct the aforementioned
problem.
