    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    CICS Transaction Server was processing the response to an
    application request from CICS Transaction Gateway (CICS TG).
    A Web Session Block (WBS) was updated to include information
    about headers and user data for this response.
    During this processing the CICS mirror task was suspended and
    a PING message was received from CICS TG.
    CICS TS reused the same WBS for the headers for the PONG.
    The mirror task was resumed and the application response
    returned to CICS TG in a corrupted state, leading to the
    CTG8495E message being issued.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS TS has been changed to serialize the use of the WBS control
    block so a PONG response will not overwrite data for an
    application response.
