PI66585: WORK AREA SYNC OPERATION IN RATIONAL SYNERGY DOES NOT IGNORE .STATIC_WA FILE

Rational Synergy Interim Fix 3 for 7.2.0.7

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using the work area sync operation to bring files from the
  filesystem into Synergy control, sync does not ignore files
  named .static_wa.  This can result in a .static_wa file being
  created in and controlled by Rational Synergy.
  
  Controlling a file having this name can lead to a scenario in
  which the copy project operation will fail with the message "The
  work area path is not accessible".
  

Local fix

• To prevent the sync operation from creating .static_wa files as
  controlled files, create a mapping rule to ignore files with
  this name.  This can be done on a per-user basis by accessing
  Tools->Options->Actions Tab->Sync Work Area, or at the database
  level following the steps found here:
