  • ABEND0C4 PIC4 at DSNGEDFR OFFSET02CA during DB2 restart,due to
bad EDM address get from ACOMEDMP, tha bad adress of ACOMEDMP is
because DSNGEINT(EDM initialization) is called twice

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During DB2 start time, customer may hit *
*                      ABEND0C4 RC00000004 at DSNGEDFR         *
*                      OFFSET02CA and DB2 start fails.         *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
During DB2 start time, EDM might be incorrectly initiated      .
twice. As a result the above abend occurs and DB2 start
fails.

Problem conclusion

  • This is a serviceability APAR to generate the following PRR
dump when EDM initialization is called twice.
