    ****************************************************************
Configuring z/OS Connect within CICS can be problematic, and
can require duplicate configuration information for each
product. The use of z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition is
especially problematic, CICS URIMAP resources limit the ability
to have multiple Services associated with the same URI within a
    single API.

Comments

  • CICS is changed so that URIMAP resources are no longer
mandatory. In the absence of a URIMAP that identifies the target
WEBSERVICE for a given URI, CICS allows z/OS Connect to resolve
the name of the Service; CICS will attempt to use a WEBSERVICE
with the same name as the z/OS Connect Service. CICS is also
changed to automatically inject Service definitions into z/OS
Connect for each WEBSERVICE that is installed. This avoids the
need for editing server.xml for typical deployment scenarios.

The CICS Knowledge Center will be updated with new information
covering the use of z/OS Connect within CICS.
