PI64349: BINARY TYPE OBJECTS DO NOT HAVE THEIR PERMISSIONS CHANGED CORRECTLY UPON CHECK OUT BY A DIFFERENT BUILD MANAGER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a build manager who is not the current owner of an object
  checks out that object (of type binary), its permissions and
  ownership are not updated in the work area correctly.
  
  Prerequsites:
  
  1. Synergy 7.2.1.5 client on a Linux Machine.
  
  2. Prep project using a shared work area accessible to other
  users.
  Work area has stick bit (g+s) set and permissions 775.
  
  3. Two users (userA & userB) who both have the role build_mgr
  Both users are members of the ccm_root group on the Linux
  Server/Client.
  
  
  Steps to Reproduce:
  
  1. userA ensures the object is checked in to the integrate
  state. The object is type binary.
  
  2. userB opens the project and checks out the object.
  
  
  Expected Results:
  1. Object permissions change to writable for this user and
  ownsership is also changed to userB.
  
  
  Actual Results:
  1. Object is successfully checked out in Synergy. However,
  ownership and permissions of the file in the work area remain
  unchanged (read only)
