Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: Users of the IBM Automatic Binary Optimizer  *
*                 (ABO) for z/OS, v1.1 that have the listings  *
*                 generated into a dataset.                    *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In some instances, ABO abends with a    *
*                      U4038 abend code when attempting to     *
*                      write the optimized listing output to   *
*                      a dataset. There are no messages        *
*                      produced.                               *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
*                                                              *
****************************************************************
ABO was modified to correctly write listing data to a dataset.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • ABO no longer abends with a U4038 when generating listing data
into a dataset.
