PI63336: BEHAVIOR OF THE FUNCTION SERVERNAME() CHANGED IN COGNOS ANALYTICS 11

APAR status

Error description

• In Cognos 11, when a layout calculation is put to the new report
  dashboard with expression ServerName (), it no longer returns a
  value like how it used to on Cognos 10. Instead it returns a
  blank output.
  This seems to be an issue only when the report is run with full
  interactivity (ie. new UI/authoring). If interactivity is
  disabled, the servername is returned as expected.
  However, instead of returning the IP of the gateway, it returned
  the IP of the dispatcher. This behavior is inconsistent with
  Cognos 10.
  

Local fix

• Duplicate the resource referred by the URI to both gateway and
  dispatcher
