Error description

  • EDIT TABLE command not working with DB2 SYNONYMS.

User will always get DSQ20999 'XXX cannot be found.' where XXX
is the name of a DB2 Synonym.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users can receive an DSQ20999 'XXX      *
*                      cannot be found.' when issuing the EDIT *
*                      TABLE command against a DB2 synonym.    *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
When the user specified a DB2 synonym as the target for the EDIT
TABLE command, QMF was improperly qualifying the synonym. DB2
synonyms are one part name identifiers and should not be
qualified.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Code has been amended so that DB2 synonyms are usable through
the EDIT TABLE.
