• After some earlier improvements to code generation for 88-level
  compares, an assertion in SequentialCompareFolding.cpp may be
  seen in some cases at OPT(1) or OPT(2).

  The sequential constant store optimization was marking a wrong
  literal address as relocatable for linkage. This was preventing
  another optimization from using the literal at that address
  during compile time.
  

Problem conclusion
