Error description

  • A message with an invalid (i.e. no authorised) userid is
    processed can not be process by IMS.

    Syslog shows message CSQ2005I with
    FEEDBACK=292 (MQFB_NOT_AUTHORIZED_FOR_IMS) followed by

    CSQ2004E CSQ2PUTD ERROR USING QUEUE
             CSQ1.DEAD.QUEUE, MQRC=2013 (MQRC_EXPIRY_ERROR)

    CSQ2MTOO does not restore the
    MQMD.Expiry value in situation, hence the MQRC_EXPIRY_ERROR
    occurs when trying to put the message to the dead-letter queue.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When the UserId in a message put to an IMS Bridge queue is not
    authorised, message CSQ2005I is issued with FEEDBACK=298
    (MQFB_NOT_AUTHORIZED_FOR_IMS). After application of the PTF
    UI31499 (for PI48687) if the IMS request message has a
    non-unlimited expiry value set, the message will fail to be put
    to the dead letter queue in this case. This is due to a change
    introduced in PI48687, which alters the expiry value during IMS
    bridge processing. In this scenario, when the dead letter
    message is created, it inherits the bad expiry value prior to it
    being set to a valid value, and the put of the dead letter
    message fails with MQRC 2013, which is seen in message CSQ2004E.

Problem conclusion

  • IMS bridge processing has been corrected, to ensure the original
    MQMD used in the request message is not altered to an incorrect
    value.
