Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO/CICS V11.1 users.            *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After applying the fix for PI58437,     *
*                      users can receive error message         *
*                      DSQ21492 'DSQEC_TRACE_MODULE is an      *
*                      invalid global variable name.' when     *
*                      issuing the SET GLOBAL command for      *
*                      DSQEC_TRACE_MODULE. Setting the global  *
*                      variable from the SHOW GLOBALS command  *
*                      prompt works successfully.              *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
QMF 11.1 and lower supported a maximum of 17 character global
variable name lengths through the SET GLOBAL command.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • For QMF 11.1, the name of the global variable is changed from
DSQEC_TRACE_MODULE to DSQEC_TRACE_MODUL.
