PI58742: IP-ADDRESS IN MQCD.CONNECTIONNAME BEING NULL-TERMINATED IN MQ V8 FOR A REQUESTER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The ip-address in MQCD.ConnectionName being
  null-terminated in MQ V8 for a requester channel,
  and the MQ Change Team had confirmed that the null
  is not present at V710.
  .
  The customer channel security IP block exit worked
  fine until they updated to V8, compat mode.

  cluster-sender and fully-qualified server channels; the
  MQCD.ConnectionName value passed to the exit incorrectly
  contains a null terminated string. This can result in unexpected
  behavior for exits using this field.
  

Problem conclusion

• The ChannelName in the MQCD passed to channel exits for
  requester channels has been corrected, to ensure the value is
  not null terminated.
