Error description
In Rational Developer for System z (RDz), the PLI preprocessor may exhibit very slow performance on parsing large PLI programs when the "Disable capping when comparing large documents" option is in affect. Steps to reproduce: 1- Import a really large PLI program, prog123.pli, with several include file into a local PLI project 2- Set compiler option MACRO,OR('!') in the associated property group 3- In Eclipse Preferences, select General > Compare/Patch then Text/Compare tab then check "Disable capping when comparing large documents" 4- Edit prog123.pli in PLI editor 5- Perform Source > Preprocessor statements > Identify using specific output file and select prog123.pli 6- Identify completes in 4 to 8 minutes
