PI57914: S0C4 IGZXSM0A + X'68A' COBOL PROGRAM EXECUTING SORT

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Enterprise COBOL V5.1 program receives exception in COBOL
  run-time SORT routine IGZXSM0A  + x'68A'.  Failing instruction
  is MVC (D2FF  E000  F000) due to crossing page boundary.

  During processing of the IGZSRTCD, the buffer used for holding
  the information needed to be enlarged and the length used for
  copying from the original buffer to the enlarged buffer was
  incorrect.  When the original buffer happened to cross a page
  boundary, ABEND 0C4 could occur.
  

Problem conclusion

• The processing code for the IGZSRTCD was corrected to use the
  correct length for the buffer enlarging process.
