Error description
When trying to install Cognos Analytics 11 on Linux with 5 GB free disk space on /tmp the installer will show the warning below and switching to the home folder WARNING: /tmp does not have enough disk space! Attempting to use /home/cognos for install base and tmp dir.
Local fix
If there is enough space on /home/<user> the installer will just use it. Alternative Workaround: Setting the Variable IATEMPDIR to a location with ~ 15 GB free disk space. IATEMPDIR=/your/free/space/directory export IATEMPDIR Then restart the installer: ./ca_svr_11.0_l86_ml.bin
