  *                      of a VARCHAR column specifying TRUNCATE *
  *                      and STRIP, resulted in ABENDS0C4        *
  *                      RC00000038 at DSNURWRF OFFSET023E and   *
  *                      ABEND04E RC00E20005 at DSNSVBK          *
  *                      OFFSET1AB6                              *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *

  After PI32732/UI25092/UI25093 was applied, a LOAD of a unicode
  table with mixed data, utilizing CCSID translation and
  specifying STRIP and TRUNCATE for a VARCHAR column resulted in
  ABEND0C4 RC00000038 at DSNURWRF + x'023E' and ABEND04E
  RC00E20005 at DSNSVBK + x'1AB6'. An internal variable was set
  incorrectly which caused a storage overlay.
  
  The similar problem also exists for CHAR columns.

Problem conclusion

• LOAD code has been modified to correct the aforementioned
  problem.
