Problem summary

*                      merged copy created from a full         *
*                      inline copy.                            *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *

A MERGECOPY NEWCOPY merged a full image inline copy with
multiple incremental image copies.  A subsequent RECOVER
utility using the mergecopy image copy ran successfully
but left regressed spacemap pages causing INCORROUT.  The
INCORROUT was a result of the merged pages during MERGECOPY.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • MERGECOPY code has been modified to merge COPIES when merging
an inline full copy with incremental copies.  The new merged
copy may be larger.
