Error description

  • (COB V5.2)  An S0C4 abend occur when compiling any COBOL
program while the IGVDGNPP (PRIMEPSA) diagnostic tool is in use.
The compiler erroneously is using a zero base register
to address a based structure.

Local fix

  • Stop the IGVDGNPP diagnostic tool.

The compiler erroneously was using a zero base register to
address a based structure.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was modified to fix a bug caused by the use of a
zero base address to access a based structure.
