    ****************************************************************
CTS 5.3 added suport for ATTLSAWARE as a valid option for the
SSL type for a TCPIPSERVICE. For CPSM, this included adding a
new CPSM EYUDA value for ATTLSAWARE (567) for the TCPDEF
resource table SSL attribute, and supporting the new CICS CVDA
value of ATTLSAWARE (1205) for the TCPIPS resource table SSLTYPE
    attribute.

Previous releases of CPSM have no knowledge of the new EYUDA
and CVDA. As a result, if a lower release CMAS is part of a
CICSplex whose MP CMAS is running CTS 5.3:

    - when a get request is issued through a WUI or Explorer
connected to the lower release CMAS, for a TCPDEF resource
table whose SSL attribute is ATTLSAWARE or for a TCPIPS
resource table whose SSLTYPE attribute is ATTLSAWARE, the
value will not be displayed correctly.

    - when a get request is issued through an API program connected
to the lower release CMAS, for a TCPDEF resource table whose
SSL attribute is ATTLSAWARE or for a TCPIPS resource table
whose SSLTYPE attribute is ATTLSAWARE, the correct EYUDA
(TCPDEF) or CVDA (TCPIPS) value will be returned, but it will
not be recognized by the program. For example, if the
program issues the EXEC CPSM TRANSLATE command for the
attribute, the value will not be translatable.

    - when an install request is issued for a TCPDEF whose SSL
attribute value is ATTLSAWARE, into a MAS running a CICS
release prior to CTS 5.3, the install will fail as ATTLSAWARE
is not supported at the lower release. However:

       - if the MAS is connected to a CTS 5.3 CMAS, then the error
returned will indicate that the SSL value is invalid.

       - if the MAS is connected to a pre-CTS 5.3 CMAS, then the
error returned will not indicate that the SSL value is
          invalid.

Problem conclusion

  • Modules EYUTMOSD and EYUTBNRC have been updated to include the
    ATTLSAWARE EYUDA and CVDA values.
