40 times greater than OPT(FULL) compile under COB V4.

Programs that have large amounts of stores and aliases spend a
large amount of time calculating copy propagation in common
sub-expression elimination.

Problem conclusion

  • Copy propagation was altered to calculate results based on the
smaller set of information it has available to it, the list of
stores or the list of aliases. Providing significant compile
time reduction for some programs.
