    ****************************************************************
At the time of error, a REORG REBALANCE SHRLEVEL CHANGE utility
is executing in LOG apply, performing deferred key processing
near the end of LOG phase. During this execution, index manager
is called to insert into a partitioned unique index. Index
manager insert code path fails with ABEND04E RC00C90101
LOC=DSNIDM.DSNKINSL ERQUAL500E sanity abend because the
partition of the index page being inserted into is different
from the partition of the input RID for the deferred key
    processing.

This error happened because index manager uses the existing
OBD limit key value to calculate the partition number for the
index page used for insert, which is different from the limit
key generated by the REBALANCE operation.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 code has been changed so during REORG REBALANCE SHRLEVEL
CHANGE LOGAPPLY deferred key processing, the correct
partition number is passed to index manager based on the
limit key values generated by the REBALANCE operation.
Index manager will insert the deferred index keys to the
    correct partitions.
