PI52895: WMQ ABEND0C4 CMQXRSRV

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Change Team finds this issue occurs when the number of bytes
  sent and received on an SSL client channel exceed the secret
  key reset count (SSLKeyResetCount) In this situation
  rriSecureFlowKeyReset may release the transmission buffer,
  although it is still being used by rriMQIServerCall and hence
  the abend occurs.
  

Local fix

• Disable secret key renegotiation. Refer to Knowledge Center
  topic sy11000_ for direction on this.

  rriMQIServerCall processes MQGET calls on behalf of client
  applications. If a client application is connected using a
  SSL/TLS SVRCONN with SHARECNV(0) and rriMQIServerCall detects
  that it is time to reset the SSL session key then it invokes
  rriSecureFlowKeyReset function to negotiate the new SSL key. In
  some cases, rriSecureFlowKeyReset reuses a receive buffer that
  is in use by rriMQIServerCall causing the 0C4 abend on CMQXRSRV.
  

Problem conclusion

• rriSecureFlowKeyReset has been changed to save the caller's
  buffers on entry and restore them on exit to avoid the 0C4
  abend.
