Error description

  • In Rational Developer for System z (RDz) 9.1.1, when you debug a
COBOL program compiled with Enterprise COBOL Compiler version
5.2 with ARCH(8) option or higher, stepping into the body of an
    IF statement may be skipped.

Local fix

  • 1) Apply the COBOL Compiler 5.2 APAR PI50690 and upgrade to
Rational Developer for System z (RDz) version 9.5.0 or
    2) Compiler the COBOL program with ARCH(7) or lower compiler
option and use with RDz 9.1.x debugger.
