Error description

• The SSL Session ID Cache daemon (sidd) creates multiple
  unnecessary entries when sessions are updated.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Unnecessary time and space are used     *
  *                      due to how duplicate session ID         *
  *                      insertion requests are handled.         *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:  Apply this fix if using the IBM HTTP        *
  *                  Server with SSL session ID cache enabled    *
  ****************************************************************
  Unnecessary entries were being created in the SSL Session ID
  Cache.
  

Problem conclusion

• The SSL Session ID Cache daemon (sidd) handling of duplicate
  session ID insertion requests was changed to save time/space.
  
  This fix is targeted for IBM HTTP Server updates:
   - 7.0.0.41
   - 8.0.0.13
   - 8.5.5.9
   - 9.0.0.0-PI54808
