APAR status

Error description

• Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.5.0
  
  Increasing the line length for PLI programs from 72 to for
  example 100 characters the syntax highlighting of the PLI-
  editor is not reflected over the default 72 characters.
  Starting with character 73 of a line, the syntax highlighting of
  the PLI-editor is not implemented and instead greys out the
  applicable artifacts.
  
  Reproducible with PLI Editor after extending the columns setting
  to 100 via PL/I -> Editor preferences:
  1) Right-Mouse click in PL/I Editor
  2) Select Preferences ...3) In "PL/I" -> "Editor" Under
  "Margins" alter to eg Column: "100"
  3) Edit a PL/I source with contents after column 72...
  4) Check syntax highlighting and any text entries above the
  default 72 are greyed.
  

Local fix

• There is no known workaround at this time

Problem conclusion

• Modified parser code to support MARGINS compiler option;
  modified editor code to support longer display ruler and
  outline/content assist past column 72.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.5.1.1 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
